One of urban Japan's most dramatic displays, The Kishiwada Danjiri Festival in Osaka and lso in mid-September, the Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Reitaisai  combines live performances of yabusame (traditional horse archery) with solemn rites at an ancient shrine.
